Serving our community

Founded and incorporated in 1982 and responding to EMS emergencies since 1983, Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad (TEVAS) has been serving the community for over 40 years. We respond to EMS calls in all 5 fire districts in the Town of Esopus: Port Ewen, Esopus, Rifton, St. Remy, and Connelly. We have 3 Ambulances and 1 Flycar to provide basic life support (BLS) care and transport for our patients.

We need drivers, EMTs, and attendants who want to help the people of the Town of Esopus. Join us and make a positive contribution to your community by being part of Emergency Medical Services.


As one of the only agencies in Ulster County that is strictly EMS and remains 100% VOLUNTEER, we rely on your donations to continue serving our community. We have a critical need for your financial support.
